Dear NPS Students, Families and Staff,
It was wonderful to be back together today after three days of remote learning due to the record-breaking cold weather. I want to personally thank each of you for your patience, flexibility, and dedication in navigating this challenging situation.
To our students: I am incredibly proud of how you adjusted to learning from home. Your resilience and focus, even in less-than-ideal circumstances, demonstrate your dedication to your education.
To our parents and families: Thank you for your unwavering support and partnership. We recognize that remote learning adds responsibilities to your plate, and we are deeply grateful for everything you do to keep our students engaged. Please continue to communicate with us about ways we can better serve you and your children.
To our teachers and staff: Your ability to quickly adapt, provide meaningful remote learning experiences, and support our students from a distance is truly commendable. I know this requires extra effort and creativity, and I deeply appreciate your commitment.
A special shout-out to our curriculum coordinators who not only created choice boards and learning activities but also went above and beyond to ensure each student had what they needed. Huge thanks to our maintenance team for getting the buildings ready, ensuring everything was safe and functional, and to our bus drivers for braving the early hours and warming up buses at 4:30 a.m. this morning. You made today—and make every day—possible. Thank you to everyone for your tireless dedication!
Once again, thank you all for your hard work and commitment to our students and the Norman Public Schools community.
